Intentionally
serving others with passion & purpose

So lovely to meet you! This personal statement is the culmination of my life's experiences. Planted as a seed in my youth, I have always embraced a servant leadership mindset, pouring my heart into all the work I do. My identity and background have enabled me to navigate various spaces with grace and effectiveness.

"Ni de aqui, ni de alla"

My personal translation: "Neither here nor there"

Growing up, I never quite felt like I belonged to any specific space. I wasn't Mexican enough, nor was I Filipino enough. Born and raised here, I still didn't fully feel American enough. As a woman, I wasn't compliant enough, and as a leader, I wasn't outspoken enough—the list goes on. This has led me on a journey of existing in a constant state of ambiguity, embodying not just one identity but the intersectionality of many. However, one certainty has always guided me, which is my heart-centered approach to everything I do. This perspective has been pivotal in allowing me to adapt across different settings and, more crucially, has been instrumental in my approach to marketing, ensuring I never get myopic. It has allowed me to truly understand customers and build effective relationships in my work. What I once viewed as a burden has transformed into my greatest strength: the ability to not be confined to a single identity. The intersectionality of my experiences has opened doors to a variety of roles, each with its distinct focus and niche. At the end of the day, I find myself neither here nor there, yet there's beauty existing in the in-between.

"What sets Kellyn apart is her genuine passion and enthusiasm for life, which she infuses into every endeavor she undertakes. Her exemplary work with the CJR (Center for Justice and Reconciliation) and Team Barnabas has had a profound impact on our campus community. Through these initiatives, she has created a safe and inclusive space for first-generation students and survivors of human trafficking, fostering an environment where individuals can find support, understanding, and empowerment.

Furthermore, Kellyn possesses an extraordinary ability to connect with people on a personal level. Even in the largest crowds, she makes others feel seen and heard. Her warmth, empathy, and genuine concern for the well-being of those around her leave a lasting impression on everyone she encounters."
